Operating Model

How governed onboarding actually works.

The same four stages apply no matter your role — only the specific steps inside each stage change.

1

Find your path

Path Finder routes you to the setuptrack built for your role and permissions— not a generic checklist.

2

Configure with guardrails

Every setting has a default and asource. Nothing configures itself, andevery change is attributable.

3

Test safely

A governed sandbox mirrors productionrules with zero impact on live workers, pay, or audit evidence.

4

Verify & launch

A person confirms readiness beforeanything goes live. Verification is astep, never a formality.

Safe Testing

Test before anything touches production.

The sandbox mirrors your real policy rules with none of the real-world stakes.

Sandbox · No live data

A governed space to break things on purpose

Run real shifts, real exceptions, and real edge cases against your policy pack — nothing here reaches a live worker, a paycheck, or an audit record.

  • Mirrors production rules exactly
  • Resets anytime, no history kept against you
  • Zero impact on live workers or pay
  • Never counts as audit evidence
1

Load your draft policy pack

The sandbox pulls in whatever you've configured so far — nothing needs to be finished first.

2

Simulate a shift

Run a normal shift, then a messy one — a late break, a missed clock-out — and see how each resolves.

3

Check what got flagged

Anything the system couldn't resolve confidently shows up in a review queue, same as production.

4

Adjust and re-run

Change a threshold, reset, and try again — as many times as it takes to trust the outcome.

Progress Tracking

See where every role actually stands.

One shared view of onboarding progress — so nobody has to ask "are we live yet?" in a hallway.

Governance

What onboarding requires — and what it never does.

The same rules that govern the product govern how we onboard you into it.

What we require

  • Identity verification for every role before access is granted
  • A human sign-off before any policy pack goes live
  • Sandbox testing before production for every new policy
  • Transparent worker notice before monitoring begins

What we never do

  • Promise instant setup or one-click compliance
  • Enable monitoring a worker hasn't been notified about
  • Mark a readiness check complete without evidence
  • Auto-approve a policy pack as "compliant"
Support

Help is never more than a click away.

Onboarding is guided, not unattended. If something doesn't resolve on its own, here's where to go.

FAQ

Questions about getting started.

Readiness items reflect what most teams need before a safe launch, but they're a guide, not a lock. What is required is human verification before go-live — the checklist just makes sure that person has what they need to say yes.

No. Sandbox activity is isolated from your live environment. Tests do not affect live workers, pay, production policy records, or audit evidence.

Yes. Role tracks are designed around permissions and responsibilities, so you can move to another track when your role or responsibilities change.

A designated person with the appropriate authority confirms readiness before anything goes live. The system does not automatically approve a launch.

The timeline depends on your role, configuration, integrations, and review requirements. Guided paths provide estimated steps so your team can see what remains.
