What is Workforce Record Insights?
Workforce Record Insights is a governed way to understand patterns in approved workforce records. Each insight shows its metric definition, source scope, time window, policy and jurisdiction context, data freshness, completeness, limitations, and review state. It supports accountable human review — it does not rank workers, infer behavior, or make employment decisions.
No screenshots, keystroke content, URL history, application-name monitoring, or clipboard collection under any tier or configuration.
An insight layer is where surveillance usually enters a workforce product — by aggregating observation into something that looks objective. Twelve required properties exist to prevent exactly that.
Governed source
Every value derives only from approved, permissioned workforce records.
Defined calculation
Numerator, denominator, unit, inclusion, exclusion, rounding, null treatment, version — all inspectable.
Bounded scope
Organization, unit, purpose, record type, policy, jurisdiction, time window are explicit.
Visible context
Schedule, time zone, policy version, source status, and relevant exceptions accompany the value.
Data-quality state
Freshness, completeness, missing inputs, conflicts, and incompatible records are visible.
Comparability state
The system explains whether periods, units, policies, or jurisdictions can be responsibly compared.
Permission-aware detail
Counts, filters, drill-downs, exports, and deep links reveal only authorized data.
Worker rights
Applicable own-record insight includes explanation, supporting records where permitted, correction, status, escalation.
Human review
The insight points to an accountable review action. It does not decide the outcome.
Evidence continuity
Definition history, source lineage, annotations, review, and sharing are attributable and versioned.
Explicit limitations
The interface tells you what the insight cannot establish.
No person scoring
The system does not turn an individual into a score, rank, risk label, or inferred productivity judgment.
Define → Aggregate → Contextualize →
Explain → Review → Preserve
Six stages, each with visible proof. There is no seventh stage.
Define
Approved metric definition, purpose, owner, source requirements, inclusion and exclusion, units, privacy threshold, review cadence.
Aggregate
Collect only permissioned record facts matching definition and scope; apply minimization and privacy thresholds.
Contextualize
Attach policy, jurisdiction, schedule, time zone, organizational scope, definition version, comparison compatibility.
Explain
Present value, calculation, lineage, trend, completeness, freshness, conflicts, and limitations in plain language.
Review
An authorized person inspects context, annotates, requests correction, assigns follow-up, or records no action.
Preserve / share
Preserve insight version, definition version, filters, limitations, annotations, and governed sharing manifest.
There is no hidden "score the worker," "predict behavior," or "decide outcome" stage in this lifecycle. Any consequential use requires separate authorized human review under approved policy and purpose.
Enough Context to Stop a
Number Masquerading as
Truth
Every public and product example exposes the same field set. A value shown without them is not an insight — it is a decoration.
Definition — version, numerator, denominator, inclusion, exclusion, unit, owner, review date
Scope — organization, unit, record type, purpose, permission basis
Time — period, schedule basis, time zone, effective policy window
Context — policy version, jurisdiction, source set, comparison state
Quality — freshness, coverage, missing records, conflicts, threshold state
Limitations — what this insight cannot establish
Review state — informational, needs review, under review, resolved, superseded, unavailable
Next action — accountable role, reason, due date — without exposing worker names publicly
A metric is a versioned contract
Every definition carries
Owner and review cadence
Numerator and denominator
Inclusion and exclusion rules
Unit, rounding, and null treatment
Source requirements
Tests and expected behavior
Prohibited uses, stated explicitly
Retirement and supersession path
A definition change creates a comparability break, marked on every trend that crosses it. Prior values are not silently restated under a new definition, and the break is visible rather than smoothed.
Cohorts, aggregation & privacy thresholds
CurrentA cohort is a permission-scoped group, not a behavioral profile.
- Approved criteria
- Organization, unit, role family, configured region, schedule, policy, jurisdiction, record state, period — where approved
- Prohibited criteria
- Inferred personality, engagement, sentiment, loyalty, health, protected attributes, private communication content, unapproved behavior profiles
- Threshold
- Values below the configured privacy threshold are suppressed or grouped
- Small-cell protection
- Filters, tooltips, exports, counts, and drill-downs must not reveal suppressed membership
- Intersection control
- Combined filters re-evaluate permission and threshold server-side
Limitations: This page does not claim a fixed threshold number, because the threshold is configured per organization. Empty states distinguish no matching records, insufficient permission, unavailable source, and privacy suppression — without leaking which applies in a way that identifies anyone.
Policy, jurisdiction, time & comparability
CurrentValues are not comparable until their context is compatible.
- Must align to compare
- Definition version, source coverage, policy version, jurisdiction, schedule basis, time zone, period, privacy threshold
- Comparison states
- Comparable · partially comparable · not comparable, each with the reason
- Mid-period change
- A policy or definition change inside a period is surfaced, not averaged away
Limitations: "Comparison unavailable because policy versions differ" is a legitimate and common result. The product says that rather than producing a number two teams would misread. No value proves legal, regulatory, contractual, payroll, or policy compliance.
Uncertainty is never hidden

Why every figure here is labelled synthetic
Synthetic organizations, units, policies, sources, and values only
No customer names, logos, or individual-performance framing
No figure presented as a product benchmark or customer outcome
No named analytics engine, model, region, or export format
The approved source set does not verify plan entitlements, connectors, response times, retention periods, certifications, service levels, or benchmarks. Those remain absent or authority-gated rather than estimated for a marketing page.
Ten Things This Layer Must Never Do
Stated plainly, because an insight product that leaves these ambiguous will drift into all of them.
No worker leaderboard.People are never sorted best to worst, highest to lowest, or compliant to noncompliant.
No productivity score.Time, communication, attendance, and source activity are never combined into a hidden or visible productivity score.
No behavior inference.Motivation, engagement, intent, sentiment, loyalty, focus, honesty, and misconduct are never inferred.
No prediction.Attrition, absence, performance, discipline, and legal exposure are not predicted from workforce records.
No automatic adverse action.Insights cannot reduce pay, deny approval, issue discipline, terminate, or trigger legal conclusions automatically.
No proxy surveillance.Communication presence, device status, application activity, and source availability are never treated as proof of work or behavior.
No opaque risk badge.Any review cue links to a neutral data-quality, policy, workflow, or source condition — never to a judgment about a person.
No compliance guarantee. No value proves legal, regulatory, contractual, payroll, or policy compliance.
No AI authority.Kairos can retrieve and explain approved context. It cannot calculate an unapproved metric, classify, rank, approve, or decide.
Human accountability.Every consequential next step identifies an authorized human role, a reason, and an audit trail.
A Core Capability, Not a Legal
Footnote
Where an insight applies to a worker's own records, that worker can understand it, inspect what supports it, and challenge it.
What a worker can see
- The applicable own-record insight and its plain-language explanation
- Which metric definition and version applied
- Supporting records, where permission allows
- Data-quality and limitation context
- Current review state
What a worker can do
- Request a correction with a reason
- Track the request status
- Escalate where a correction is declined
- Ask for an explanation of the definition
- Reach privacy or support
Workers are never silently assigned to a cohort used as a judgment, and there is no manager-only score or hidden label about any individual. If cohort context informs an own-record view, the worker can see that it did.
Accountable annotation, no rankings
What a reviewer can do
- Inspect definition, scope, context, and quality before acting
- Annotate with an attributable note linked to the insight version
- Request a correction on an underlying record
- Assign a follow-up with a role and due date
- Record "no action" as a legitimate outcome
Review states
An annotation is a note on an insight version — never a hidden label on a person. Leadership views aggregate where individual detail is unnecessary.
An Insight Package
Carries Its Own Context
A shared insight that arrives without its definition, filters, and limitations is a number someone will misuse. So the manifest travels with it.
Every share or export includes
- Scope and filters applied
- Metric definition and version
- Limitations and comparability state
- Permission basis, recipient, and purpose
- Delivery and withdrawal state
Suppression and purpose restrictions travel with the package. Export formats and availability remain authority-gated rather than listed here.
Evidence Ledger preserves source-linked history, versions, reviews, corrections, and sharing context. This page links to that history without immutability or legal-sufficiency claims.
Two adjacencies, neither with authority
Kairos boundary
Kairos may retrieve and explain approved definitions, sources, context, and review paths within the requester's existing permission — and must state when information is insufficient. It cannot calculate an unapproved metric, classify, rank, approve, or decide.
Zoiko Sema is optional
The products are independent. Connected context is optional, explicitly mapped, purpose-limited, permissioned, and reviewable — and communication presence is never treated as proof of work.
Any ZoikoTime classification behind an insight remains deterministic, policy-bound, reviewable — and is never branded as AI. Presentation, scheduling, distribution, and alerting are separate destinations requiring their own approval, and are not introduced here.
What a Governed Insight Programme Depends On
Security
Access, scoping, and operational controls behind the insight layer.
Privacy
Purpose limitation, minimization, retention, and worker rights.
Roles & access
Who may define metrics, view scopes, annotate, and share.
Source health
Freshness and availability, shown honestly during failure.
Administrative controls
Definition ownership, thresholds, and change governance.
Human-in-Command
Where consequential authority sits and stays.
Procurement
Controlled evidence and current commercial terms.
Implementation
Readiness review, pilot, rollout, and adoption governance.
Records first, metrics second
A controlled readiness review covers records, definitions, roles, worker rights, context, thresholds, permissions, review workflows, and implementation governance - in that order. Buying an insight layer before the records are governed produces confident numbers about nothing.
Already a customer?
No customer names, logos, counts, quotes, benchmarks, or outcome metrics appear on this page. None has been verified and approved for this destination. This is an intentional empty state.

Fourteen Insight Questions
A governed way to understand patterns in approved workforce records. Each insight shows its definition, source scope, time window, policy and jurisdiction context, data quality, limitations, and review state. It informs human review — it does not rank workers or make decisions.
